 Verified We had a lovely week in the chalet, perfect for a large family of all ages. Really lovely chalet with beautiful views. There was a little confusion when organising the room layout as we were told there were 3 bunk bed rooms and 2 doubles which would have not been ideal with grandparents, a toddler and one very pregnant, and this wasn’t as described on air bnb site, however after looking at a video of the chalet and when we turned up we could see there we’re 4 twin rooms and one bunk, so all worked out well.  Verified The chalet has breathtaking views that were definitely a joy to wake up to in a morning. The free bus and gondola into Meribel are a little walk away, as described, which can become a chore if you are travelling with children and all have ski’s/boards. There are ski lockers in Meribel which we will use next time. The chalet is lovely, large, cosy and my party of 9 never felt on top of each other.We all loved staying here and would do so again.

About Meribel

Meribel Les Allues is a wonderful little traditional ski village. Meribel Les Allues is the original village of the Meribel valley. It is steeped in history right way back to the 14th century. You have ever enjoyed a holiday in Austria then you should love this village. The village has its own gondola link to Meribel Chaudanne Lift centre. (15 mins) & a free regular bus service. (also 15 mins). The drive by car to Meribel takes only about 9 minutes. Meribel Les Allues village has its own English Pub, which in fact often attracts people all the way down from the main town. Les Allues has 5 restaurants and a few bars if you don’t feel like the party night life at Meribel. It is a very friendly village.

Getting around
Free Resort Bus Service – Olympic Telecabine – The free resort bus runs regularly between the centre of Les Allues and the centre of Meribel/La Chaudanne (sometimes via Meribel Village) 7 days a week during the winter season from about 7.30am to around midnight. The Les Allues bus stop is directly in front of I’Arbe Restaurant (& flags) at the top of the village. The Olympic Telecabine that runs from Brides-Le-Bains to the main Meribel Lift Station at La Chaudanne via Les Allues is across the road and down a hill a little from the bus stop. It takes about 15 mins to Meribel on both the free bus and Telecabine.
